On the whole, April offers a generally pleasant and stable climate. The contrast between coastal and mountain climates offers visitors the chance to discover different microclimates in a short distance.
Seaside weather
Near the coast, you can expect warm, sunny days, with occasional light breezes. The sea air maintains pleasant temperatures, perfect for beach activities and al fresco dining.

In the mountains, the weather can be slightly cooler and more variable. There may be a few clouds in the morning, but they often clear up as the day progresses. North and northeast coasts can experience slightly stronger winds, while southern regions are often more sheltered.

- Rallye Islas Canarias Trofeo El Corte Inglés: a major car rally that may affect your access to certain roads
- Fiesta de los Aborígenes – April 29: This festival marks the last uprising of the Guanches against the Spanish and the annexation of Gran Canaria by the Crown of Castile in 1483. Big ceremonies take place in Fortaleza Grande, near Santa Lucia.
