Some Gran Canaria towns are more family-oriented, while others are more grown-up.

- The capital, Las Palmas, offers variety.

1. Hotel Faro, Lopesan Collection (5 stars, Maspalomas)
Why stay there?
Hotel Faro is at the foot of the Maspalomas Lighthouse and Playa de Maspalomas. Like us, you’ll appreciate the spectacular view of the monument and the bay. Our elegantly designed room had all the hallmarks of a prestigious hotel. We appreciated the subdued lighting and wood panelling. The balcony and its panorama were also a real plus. The resort features a gym, 2 swimming pools and several restaurants, including the panoramic Blue Marlin. The lively Meloneras waterfront adjoins the hotel. Take the time to stroll around and discover the surprises it holds, a lagoon and even archaeological ruins. A prestigious and sunny holiday!

2. Hotel Nayra (Maspalomas, 4 stars)
Why stay there?
At the adults-only Hotel Nayra, you’ll enjoy a peaceful, relaxing stay. Rooms are modern and colorful, with quality amenities that guarantee real comfort. A wellness center offering a variety of massages, a gym, bike rentals… A place to relax and get active! We enjoyed the elegantly designed outdoor pool, ideal for relaxing in the sun. There are even stone deckchairs in the water! Located near Playa del Inglès, the establishment is also close to the Yumbo Centrum shopping center and local restaurants.

3. Hotel Club Maspalomas Suites & Spa (Maspalomas)
Why stay there?
The Club Maspalomas Suites & Spa is an adults-only establishment which, in our opinion, offers a peaceful setting for a relaxing vacation. Rooms are spacious and modern. Take advantage of the large, semi-Olympic outdoor pool and swim lane, as well as the spa, Jacuzzi and gym. There’s also a poolside bar and several restaurants. Breakfast is exceptional and sometimes accompanied by guitar or saxophone. The beaches are a 10-minute drive away.

4. Ocean Hill Hotel (Puerto Rico, Amadores side)
Why stay there?
We loved the clean, modern style of this Ocean Hill hotel with its stunning ocean views.
The apartments are quite large, with sea-facing balconies.
And some even have private mini-pools.

Why stay there?
Looking for a waterfront holiday at any time of year? Stroll along the warm sand, enjoy the sound of the waves while lounging in the heated swimming pool, enjoy the luxury and sensuality all around you? Well, that dream atmosphere can become reality! Our trip to the adults-only Hotel Cristina By Tigotan Las Palmas was a memorable one. Las Canteras beach is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Our room overlooked the sandy expanse and blue horizon of the Atlantic Ocean. A postcard-perfect setting!

6. Barceló Margaritas Royal Level Hotel (Maspalomas)
Why stay there?
Hotel Barceló Margaritas Royal Level – Adults Only is located in the center of Maspalomas. We liked the modern decor with its cheerful colors and modern architecture. Our room was large, comfortable and stylish. We even had a sofa to relax on and watch TV. From our balcony, we could see all the way to Playa del Inglès and contemplate the horizon! The sunset over the ocean was magical. The swimming pool surrounded by trees was a nice place to relax and cool off. The open-plan Polynesian-style restaurant will also make you feel like you’re on vacation.

7. Hotel Corallium Dunamar (4 stars, Playa del Ingles)
Why stay there?
Another option to consider in Playa del Inglés is the Hotel Corallium Dunamar. Our room was bright and spacious, and the atmosphere was really relaxing. We were even surprised by the armchairs with footrests for optimum comfort. From our balcony on the 4th floor, the view of the garden and the sea was sublime, with a table and 2 armchairs waiting for us to relax in. What makes this hotel a must for us is its beachfront location, with no other buildings to obstruct the view. It’s one of the few hotels in the resort offering direct access to the Playa del Inglés beach on the same level. The icing on the cake: with its 3 swimming pools, the Corallium Dunamar Hotel guarantees sunny, refreshing days in pleasant surroundings.

8. Hotel Veintiuno Emblematic Hotels (Las Palmas, Boutique-hotel)
Why stay there?
When you choose the Hotel Veintiuno in Las Palmas, you’ll be staying in the capital’s emblematic Vegueta district. The establishment is close to many points of interest, including the Christopher Columbus House Museum and the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), dedicated to contemporary art and culture in Gran Canaria.
Push open the doors of this 18th-century colonial house in the heart of Las Palmas, an adults-only haven renovated and opened in 2018. You’ll be seduced by the sense of detail and refinement of the premises. The icing on the cake: the swimming pool on the roof terrace overlooking the cathedral!

Why stay there?
We enjoyed staying at the Occidental Roca Negra Hotel, which has plenty to offer! Here, in our opinion, are the 3 main reasons to choose this establishment:
- Peace and quiet: located on the north coast of the island, it offers a peaceful environment conducive to relaxation and contemplation.
- Sea and volcano view: enjoy a view of Volcano Teide and the bay from your room or terrace.
- Comfort and quality services: the hotel has a spa, 3 swimming pools, a restaurant and 2 bars. It also offers an all-inclusive package.
