Hotels for families in Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria offers a good range of family-friendly hotels, even if it’s not the best of the Canary Islands.
You’ll find everything from all-inclusive resorts to more intimate establishments. These hotels offer kids’ clubs, pools with slides and a variety of activities, and some have easy access to beaches and theme parks.
These establishments generally offer spacious family rooms, children’s menus and adapted entertainment. This should help the whole family enjoy a pleasant vacation.
1. Radisson Blu Hotel
Why stay there?
The Radisson Blu is a modern hotel surrounded by the arid mountains of the Puerto de Mogan valley. We particularly liked the desert atmosphere of the views from the hotel.
The hotel boasts a wide range of facilities, including three on-site restaurants, a pool lounge/bar, fitness center, kids’ club, and spa and wellness facilities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This is one of the Mogan hotels with the widest choice of activities. And we particularly liked the impression of space and unobstructed views, as the buildings weren’t too tall.

2. Maspalomas Princess Hotel
Why stay there?
With its large swimming pools, water games and numerous facilities, the Hotel Maspalomas Princess is the perfect children’s hotel.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious, surrounded by palm trees. The pools are ideal for relaxing or having fun. Something to delight adults and children alike!
The hotel also offers a wide range of activities for younger guests, including evening entertainment and a children’s club.

3. Hotel Gloria Palace Royal
Why stay there?
Hotel Gloria Palace Royal offers a comfortable experience with a breathtaking view of Amadores beach. We really enjoyed our very spacious suite and its sea-facing terrace.
The hotel offers several pools overlooking Playa Amadores, as well as restaurants.
It is less child-oriented, offering more of a balance between hotels for adults and hotels for families.

4. Hotel Cordial Mogan Playa
Why stay there?
Designed in the style of a Canarian village, you’ll find a very different atmosphere in this hotel: the buildings are colored with lagoons and lush vegetation (with over 450 species of plants).
Its location offers easy access to the sea and the old town, as well as a quiet setting.

5. Hotel H10 Playa Meloneras Palace
Why stay there?
The H10 Playa Meloneras Palace is a hotel located in Meloneras, with a surprising decor inspired by the work of Antoni Gaudí. The main hall impressed us with its bold shapes!
The hotel has several swimming pools for relaxation.
The hotel is finally kid-friendly. A playground, babysitting and entertainment will please the little ones. While the wellness center, with spa treatments and fitness facilities, completes the picture for adults. A place that combines comfort, art and relaxation for the whole family!

6. Hotel Cordial Mogan Valle
Why stay there?
Hotel Cordial Mogán Valle is a full-length aparthotel complex. In a colorful style, the well-appointed apartments feature a fully-equipped kitchen and a private terrace or balcony, perfect for enjoying the Canaries’ warm climate.
Pool areas are separate, and there’s a kids’ club and dedicated areas for the whole family to enjoy.
We find it more suitable for young children.

7. Hotel Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort
Why stay there
The hotel impressed us with its services! We were able to admire its pools, dine in one of its world-famous restaurants or take a tour of its casino, the Gran Casino Costa Meloneras. Spa enthusiasts will also be delighted. The facility boasts a superb 3500m2 wellness center featuring an aquatic circuit, salt bath grottoes and a troglodyte pool. Our room also lived up to expectations, with its modern, sober and chic decor. Others even have their own private terrace overlooking a swimming pool. Families will also be delighted with the children’s mini-club.

8. Seaside Sandy Beach Hotel (4 stars)
Why stay there?
Behind this large white building lies a charming Moorish-style establishment in Gran Canaria. Surrounded by tree-lined subtropical gardens, the outdoor jetted pool is located in the center of the hotel’s outdoor area.
This establishment, close to the beach, offers a wide range of activities for the whole family.

9. Altamadores Hotel
Why stay there?
In Puerto Rico, few hotels have specific facilities for children, so we decided to share this hotel with you.
It offers good value for money for families, with a convenient restaurant serving a variety of foods.
However, the hotel is a long way from the beach.

9. Taurito Princess Hotel (Taurito)
Why stay there?
This is the hotel with the beach at its feet, as you can see in the photo above. If you want to go to the beach several times a day, it’s very easy.
The hotel is very family-friendly, with a super dragon in one of the pools and a kids’ club.
Rooms are spacious, with balconies overlooking the pool and sea.
