Gran Canaria climate in February – weather forecast
Overall, February offers a mild, spring-like climate that many find ideal for exploring the island’s diverse landscapes and engaging in outdoor activities without the intense heat of summer.
Seaside weather
Near the sea, the weather is generally mild and pleasant. You can expect many sunny days and occasional cloudy spells. Coastal areas enjoy stable temperatures, making it ideal for beach activities and al fresco dining.
Although it’s not hot by summer standards, many visitors find it warm enough to sunbathe. There’s usually a gentle sea breeze, which keeps the air fresh and prevents excessive humidity. And then, in the middle of winter, to be able to enjoy a bit of sunshine, we love it!
Weather in the mountains
The mountainous interior, on the other hand, experiences more variable weather conditions. Temperatures are cooler and conditions can change more rapidly. Mornings are often clear, but clouds can accumulate as the day progresses, sometimes giving rise to brief showers.
And, as wind speed tends to be higher in the mountains, this can make it feel colder.
