Is the La Laguna Gran Hotel worth it? Our review

In our opinion, the hotel is one of the best places to stay in San Cristobal de La Laguna. Its proximity to many important historical and cultural sites and its central location make it an ideal base from which to explore La Laguna’s architectural and cultural wealth.

It also offers quality service, comfortable, well-equipped rooms and an elegant, welcoming atmosphere. We also really appreciated its facilities for relaxing after a day’s sightseeing. Its rooftop pool with city views is a real asset.

The room

Our room, the Suite Royale, was in the oldest part of the hotel, dating back to the 18th century. This gives it a unique historical charm. Spacious, 76m2, it comprises a large living room and a bedroom with a king-size bed.

We particularly appreciated the magnificent parquet flooring and the impressive ceiling height. Especially as the wooden ceiling is splendid, typical of Canarian colonial houses.

Elegant lighting fixtures, perfectly chosen, bring a warm ambience to the room. The headboard, a hand-painted mural, is the focal point of the room, with shades of green and crimson pink that blend perfectly with the wood.

In the room, we found modern amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, a Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle for preparing hot drinks, as well as a music system in every room to create a pleasant, personalized atmosphere.

Our room at the La Laguna Gran Hotel didn’t have a view, but the decor of the room and its atmosphere were such that we didn’t attach much importance to it.
