Where to stay in Costa Adeje: best areas
Why stay at Costa Adeje?
With its many black sand beaches and lively atmosphere, Costa Adeje is a popular destination in the south of Tenerife. In fact, it’s one of the most popular places to stay on the island! This lively seaside resort is packed with restaurants, boutiques and shopping centers. It appeals to children and adults alike, offering a wide range of entertainment, relaxation and escape options. From Puerto Colón, we embarked on an excursion to observe the island’s dolphins and whales – see activity details.

Best places to stay in Costa Adeje: map
Use our map to find your way around Costa Adeje, with the main areas to stay in:

Disadvantages:
- Less quiet and restful neighborhood,

Sleep in the south between Playa de Fañabé and Playa del Bobo (downtown)

In our opinion, this is the busiest area of Costa Adeje. The seafront promenade is lined with restaurants, bars, shops, beaches and even shopping centers. It includes Puerto Colón, the resort’s lively port. Some hotels are havens of peace in this hectic city center.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the Costa Adeje seafront, the heights of the resort offer a more peaceful and relaxing setting. As we climbed higher, we enjoyed superb panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. We recommend you bring your own vehicle to stay in this more remote and steeply sloping area.

- Quieter, quieter neighborhood,
- Breathtaking ocean views,
- Close to Siam Park and Aqualand water parks.
Disadvantages:
- Far from downtown,

Other useful tips to keep in mind
Costa Adeje is a popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months. We recommend that you book your accommodation as early as possible to take advantage of the best rates. Don’t wait for prices to rise! We prefer the Booking platform, as calendars are updated in real time. During your stay, we suggest you rent a car to explore the rest of the island in total freedom.
OUR TIPS TO RENT A CAR IN Tenerife
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.
- If you’re planning to explore the mountains, don ‘t take the smallest cars. A more powerful engine will be more comfortable.
- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.
