1. Restaurant The Tea House & Bar (tea room)
We loved the warm, friendly atmosphere of The Tea House & Bar Restaurant in Los Gigantes. Lindsay and Jim welcomed us with smiles and sympathy. This traditional English tea room, surprising in these latitudes, manages to recreate the intimate, cosy atmosphere so characteristic of these much-loved places across the Channel.
The Tea House & Bar offers a variety of homemade culinary delights, including scones, cakes, sandwiches and toast. We made do with a few fresh vegetable wraps and a delicious Carrot Cake, but 2 ladies, seated at the table next to us, opted for the full Afternoon Tea option, which is particularly famous.

2. Restaurant Aqua (gourmet)
Restaurant Aqua offers an exceptional gastronomic experience in a spectacular setting overlooking the cliffs of Los Gigantes. Located within theRoyal Sun Resort Hotel, on the heights of the city, it’s a privileged place, with a refined design, where you can enjoy the haute cuisine of chef Lucas Maes while admiring the sunset. Romantic effect guaranteed!
The restaurant’s menu offers creative, refined cuisine, with innovative dishes such as Canary cheese ravioli with truffles, or tuna ceviche with exotic fruits. We spotted a 6-course tasting menu at €75, a selection of dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

OUR TIPS TO RENT A CAR IN Tenerife

- If you’re planning to explore the mountains, don ‘t take the smallest cars. A more powerful engine will be more comfortable.
- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.
3. Restaurant Tas-K (tapas bar)
Close to the port, in the Calle de Los Guios that runs down to the beach of the same name, we loved the warm, friendly atmosphere of Restaurant Tas-K. This tapas bar is ideally located on the way to the beach. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with service renowned for being friendly and attentive.
Restaurant Tas-K specializes in Spanish dishes, and its menu is rich in local flavors. Tapas are particularly popular with visitors, with a wide variety of traditional dishes. The establishment also stands out for its very affordable prices, allowing you to discover local cuisine without breaking the bank.

4. Restaurant Rosso Pomod’Oro (Italian)
In a small pedestrian alleyway in downtown Puerto de Santiago, we enjoyed the friendly, no-frills atmosphere of the Rosso Pomod’oro restaurant. The red façade and checkered tablecloths set the relaxed, authentic tone of the place, and the place given to tomatoes, also red.
Restaurant Rosso Pomod’Oro is renowned for its excellent Italian pizzas, but its menu also features other traditional flavors of Transalpine cuisine. Here you can enjoy carefully prepared dishes, a real taste escape through Italian specialties in the unique setting of Los Gigantes.

5. Restaurant KV Bar Gourmet (French fusion cuisine)
On the Puerto de Santiago marina, the KV Bar Gourmet Restaurant seemed ideal for a memorable culinary experience. The decor is simple and modern, so you can enjoy the view and what’s on your plate.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try its French-inspired cuisine (with a touch of fusion), but the menu and customer comments made our mouths water: fresh seafood and quality meats!
