Compared with Gran Canaria or Lanzarote, Tenerife offers fewer adults-only activities. But there are some nice options in every city:

1. Hotel JOIA El Mirador (5 stars, Costa Adeje)

Why stay there?
Exclusively for adults, this luxury resort overlooks Playa del Duque and cultivates the art of well-being. True to its name, Hotel JOIA El Mirador offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The hotel also boasts top-quality facilities: a splendid outdoor swimming pool, a huge spa, and several restaurants. It has developed a complete high-end offering to meet its customers’ requirements. A choice address for couples looking for a romantic cocoon by the water!

Beach and pool access
The hotel offers direct access to the seafront promenade overlooking Playa del Duque. It’s also a 15-minute walk from Playa de la Enramada.

2. Hotel Corales Beach (5 stars, Costa Adeje)

Why stay there?
With its bright, contemporary architecture, Hotel Corales Beach stands out from other Costa Adeje establishments. Nestling to the north of the resort at La Caleta, it enjoys a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere. This haven of peace offers exceptional services, such as a mindfulness massage in your accommodation’s private pool, or a floating breakfast based on local produce.
This luxury hotel has developed a whole concept around local gastronomy. These include the one-star Restaurant San-Hô, and the illustrious 2-star Restaurant El Rincón de Juan Carlos. It also offers guests unique culinary experiences. How about cooking with a private chef in the privacy of your room, or discovering mixology in the comfort of your suite?

Beach and pool access
Located on the seafront, the hotel is a 5-minute walk from Playa de la Enramada.

The only boutique hotel in Playa de las Américas, this establishment is for adults only. Its intimate, exclusive ambience offers a different experience from the resort’s larger resorts. Set back from the town center, it’s less than a 10-minute walk from Costa Adeje‘s Playa de Troya. Its location is ideal if you want to explore the 2 seaside resorts during your stay. In summer, the swimming pool becomes the vibrant heart of the hotel, hosting lively evenings and concerts. How about enjoying happy hour at the pool bar while listening to live music?

Why stay there?
Renovated in 2019, this 406-room adults-only resort occupies a privileged position on the city’s most advanced point. We were dazzled by the breathtaking views of the sea and cliffs from virtually every area of the hotel. The minimalist decor in light tones enhances the spectacular panorama. The four swimming pools offer a variety of relaxing environments, while the spa invites total relaxation. How about a romantic dinner in one of our two panoramic restaurants?

Hotel Atlantic Mirage is a 4-star establishment for adults only. It’s the perfect solution if you’re looking for peace and quiet. Right on the seafront, it offers incredible panoramic views of the coast, from both its elegant restaurant and its rooms. The restaurant serves a wide range of international specialities. Then why not relax in the outdoor pool or spa?

- If you’re planning to explore the mountains, don ‘t take the smallest cars. A more powerful engine will be more comfortable.
- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.

8. Hotel Spring Arona Gran (4 stars, Los Cristianos)

Why stay there?
Overlooking the Los Cristianos seafront promenade, the Spring Arona Gran Hotel captivates with its upscale atmosphere and breathtaking views of the bay. We loved the plant decoration of the gigantic common areas. It gives them a jungle feel.
The hotel has 391 rooms with a warm, uncluttered style. The culinary experience is varied, with two restaurants including a buffet, and three bars including a piano bar with live concerts. How about sipping a cocktail and watching the sunset from the terrace bar? And for the more sporty, there’s a large gym overlooking the ocean.

Why stay there?
Another adults-only establishment above Playa de Los Tarajales is the Boutique Hotel H10 Big Sur. We liked the sober, elegant decor in neutral tones, with a few touches of blue to create a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel’s 3 restaurants offer a wide range of gastronomic delights.
Breakfasts are varied and include vegetarian and gluten-free options. Like us, you can enjoy evenings on the rooftop with its panoramic views. For wellness enthusiasts, there’s the Despacio Beauty Center spa, with sauna, steam room, hairdressing salon and treatments.
