For a day of thrills and spills in a world-class water parkwe have no hesitation in recommending Siam Park.

For a water park suitable for young childrenAqualand Costa Adeje is an excellent alternative.
The park offers a wide range of attractions, including several specially designed for the little ones. We appreciate its family atmosphere.
It’s less impressive than Siam Park, but offers a good balance for families whose children can’t access the big attractions.

We were impressed by the sheer size of the park and the diversity of its attractions. The Thai-inspired backdrops add an immersive dimension that blends with nature.
The park is suitable for thrill-seekers and families alike, even if some attractions impose size restrictions.

- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.

Frequently asked questions: Loro parque
Swimming at Loro Parque
No. Loro parque is a zoo. There are aquariums and many ponds, but they are for animals. See our article on the zoo.
Hotel in Tenerife including water park?
Many hotels in Tenerife have integrated water parks or elaborate water zones. The Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife boasts several swimming pools and water slides. Many family resorts in Costa Adeje and Playa de las Américas also offer child-friendly water areas.
See our article on hotels with waterparks (coming soon).
Can we visit Siam Park and Loro Parque on the same day?
No, we don’t recommend visiting both parks on the same day. Each park deserves a full day to enjoy its attractions to the full. Siam Park is in the south of the island, while Loro Parque is in the north, which means a journey of around 1 hour between the two. Plan two separate days for these visits.
When should you visit a water park to avoid the crowds?
The parks are generally less busy outside the European school vacations, particularly in May, June and September. Arriving as soon as it opens at 10am will also help you avoid the main queues. Weekdays are quieter than weekends.
