Easy to get around these seaside resorts
Getting around Costa Adeje
Costa Adeje stretches for several kilometers along the coast. We found that the distances between the various beaches and the city center can be considerable. The seafront promenade allows you to reach the beaches on foot, but this can take some time. Alternatively, you can rent an electric scooter. The bus network also serves the station well – find out more here. However, a car is still practical for accessing attractions such as the Barranco del Infierno.

Getting around Playa de las Américas
Playa de las Américas is more compact and concentrated. We were able to explore the whole resort on foot with ease. The seafront promenade links all the main beaches in a 20-30 minute walk. Most hotels are within walking distance of The Golden Mile shopping center. This station is particularly convenient without a car. Local buses also serve the resort well – details here.

Our review
The winner: Playa de las Américas, for its compactness and ease of movement on foot.
Can I visit Costa Adeje and Playa de las Américas on the same trip?
Absolutely! The 2 stations are so close together that they virtually form an urban continuum. By staying in one, you can easily explore the other. Playa de Troya marks the border between the 2 destinations. The promenade links them together.
We recommend that you choose your base according to your priorities (luxury and families at Costa Adeje, surfing and a lively atmosphere at Playa de las Américas), then explore the other resort for a day.

And why not other destinations in Tenerife?
On the island of Tenerife, there are other interesting destinations to discover, such as Puerto de la Cruz in the north, Los Cristianos in the south, or traditional inland villages like Masca or La Orotava. The Teide National Park is also a must-see excursion from these resorts.
