Is a visit to Tenerife’s Jungle Park worth it?
Yes, it’s worth a visit for its botanical wealth. In addition to tropical vegetation, the orchidarium and cactarium will delight fans of exotic plants. It also offers thrilling attractions such as a bobsleigh run and suspension bridges. We enjoyed splendid views of the canopy. It’s worth mentioning, however, that the park houses animals in captivity, a practice that raises ethical questions.

What you can see
The orchidarium

This area is dedicated to the cultivation and display of orchids within the park. We were captivated by its superb flowers, whose vibrant hue contrasted with the surrounding vegetation.
The mushroom farm

The site features a small building housing curious mushrooms of all shapes and colors! With the help of informative panels, we were able to follow the different stages in the formation of mushrooms.
OUR TIPS TO RENT A CAR IN Tenerife
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.
- If you’re planning to explore the mountains, don ‘t take the smallest cars. A more powerful engine will be more comfortable.
- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.

Suspension bridges

What a pleasure to cross the suspension bridges over the lush vegetation! We were thrust into the jungle like real adventurers!
The cactus garden

The cactus garden hides some amazing specimens, but be careful, they sting!
Palms and tropical plants

The site offers magnificent views of the lush canopy. This botanical experience is well worth the effort!
The bobsleigh descent

To spice up your visit, take a bobsleigh ride through part of the park! As you pick up speed, you’ll explore the site in a whole new way.
The point of view

We were surprised to discover an exceptional panorama of Tenerife within the park. In the foreground, colorful houses brightened the view, while the ocean stood out against the backdrop.
Animal prints

As we rounded a bend in the path, we saw animal tracks on the ground!
The big arena

The site houses an arena where shows featuring the park’s animals are held. Not being comfortable with this practice, we did not wish to attend.

Visiting the Jungle Park: useful tips
Schedules and prices
The park is open Monday to Sunday from 10am to 5:30pm. More up-to-date info on the official website here.
Prices are as follows:
- Adult: €33
- Children: €26

For how long?
Allow half a day to visit the park.
Best moment
Preferably outside the summer season (July, August) and school vacations. This way, you can avoid the busiest periods, although the park is much less crowded than the famous Siam Park. We recommend that you get there as soon as it opens, to take advantage of the early morning freshness!

Direction of visit
There is no set direction. We were free to roam the park as we pleased. However, in high season, you’ll have to queue to access certain attractions.

Visiting with children
Jungle Park is an ideal destination for families. The tour is both entertaining and educational. The park’s world and scenery will stimulate the imagination of the youngest visitors. It was like being in a small jungle! We came across children lost in contemplation of the animals.

Eating out
The park boasts its own La Palapa restaurant, open from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. You’ll enjoy simple dishes such as burgers, pastas and salads, among other options. Otherwise, you’ll find other fast-food outlets on the site. Picnics are also permitted on site.

Hotels
The closest quality hotels to the park are located in Chayofa, and we particularly recommend them:
- Hotel Estefania Boutique Suites – Check photos, photos and availability.
- Aparthotel Regency Country Club – Check photos, photos and availability.
