Is Hotel Tigaiga worth it? Our review
Hotel Tigaiga seemed to us an excellent option for a stay in Puerto de la Cruz because of its excellent value for money and green surroundings. We consider it one of the best hotels in the region, with modern facilities, quality service and a warm atmosphere.
The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by gardens, is a haven of peace and relaxation. Finally, Hotel Tigaiga’slocationis ideal for exploring the city and surrounding area.
Decoration and atmosphere
The hotel’s decor creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The team is smiling and efficient. She knows how to put you at ease right from the start, with a touch of humor.
The hotel gardens were our favorite. Enjoying nature in the Canary Islands while being in the city is a luxury we always appreciate, especially as the outdoor spaces are carefully maintained. It’s a really pleasant place to stroll and discover the local vegetation.

The room
Our room was simple and elegant. The discreet decor highlighted the splendid view from our balcony.
A photo of Tenerife’s volcanic landscape above the bed further enhanced the sense ofimmersion in nature.
A bottle of fresh water and a basket of fruit were waiting for us on the desk.

The bathroom
The bathroom was equipped with a shower. We also found hygiene products from two different cosmetics brands: Lux and Natture. Bathrobes were provided.
We really liked the window into the room. It allowed you to enjoy the view from the bathroom.
The breakfast
Breakfast at Hotel Tigaiga was a buffet. There was a wide variety of products on offer, including delicious pastries and cut fruit, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Not to mention typical local products such as cheese and sardines. But it was the fruit juices that really got us going! There was so much choice that we wanted to try them all…

- Driving time from the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife = 1h
How to get there?
To get to Tenerife, you have 2 options: plane or ferry. If you choose the ferry option, you’ll have to leave from the Spanish ports of Huelva or Cadiz. If you choose tofly, there are 2 airports on the island: Tenerife North and Tenerife South.
We strongly recommend that you have access to a car during your trip to Gran Canaria. If you want to explore the full beauty of the island, you’ll need a vehicle. It’s the quickest and easiest way to get around all our sites. In fact, we’ve written an article on Tenerife’s 18 must-sees.
