- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.

Catering
Several restaurants line the Paseo Maritimo. On the section we visited, we found the Restaurant La Pergola, but didn’t stop there. The view from the terrace is splendid.

Charco de Isla Cangrejo natural swimming pool
Formed by the solidification of lava, this natural pool isone of the most fascinating sites in Los Gigantes. Although a concrete wall protects the area from the waves, we advise caution at high tide in case of heavy swell. In fact, at the time of our visit, the access site was closed for safety reasons due to sea conditions.

Balconies and hanging gardens overlooking the sea
All along this landscaped promenade, we found panoramic balconies and lush green spacesthat seemed to float above the backwash. They add a touch of freshness here and there, and are true samples of the local flora.

Panoramic views of Los Gigantes and the ocean
This is the main attraction of the Paseo Maritimo. The panoramas stretching north to Punta de Teno were very impressive. They are breathtaking, encompassing the town, its marina, the ocean, the mountains and even the island of La Gomera opposite.

Natural volcanic sculptures
We had great fun photographing the shapes carved by the ocean into the jagged volcanic rock of the coastline. They sometimes appeared to us as slightly frightening characters evolving in a grandiose setting.

Coves and paths in steep rock formations
Take the time to stop above the little coves set into the black rock, listening to the waves crashing against the rocks. We were able to follow the well-tended paths down to the edge.
