Is the Hotel Botanico y Oriental Spa Garden worth it? Our review
The establishment offers a luxurious and relaxing setting, with magnificent gardens, swimming pools and an oriental spa. We really appreciated the attention to detail, the impeccable service and the quality of the facilities. For those of us who love botany and immersion in green spaces, the location was perfect. Not to mention our proximity to the Jardin Botanico! A real asset. We highly recommend the Hotel Botanico for an exceptional stay in Puerto de la Cruz.
In our opinion, it’s one of the best hotels in town. And it’s one of our favourites!

Decoration and atmosphere
Hotel Botánico y Oriental Spa Garden is a recently renovated oasis of tranquility. We’ve mentioned it before, but we’ll say it again: its gardens are splendid! Imagine 25,000m2 of lush gardens, with walkways, water features and bridges…

Aware of the importance of our natural, social and cultural heritage, the hotel’s management is committed to sustainable development. She has also chosen to highlight Canarian botanical art. In every corner, don’t miss the works of great artists such as César Manrique, Oscar Domínguez, Pepe Dámaso and Néstor de la Torre. They form part of the establishment’s rich art collection.

The room
The style of our room was rather classic, with moldings, warm drapes and carpets, gilded frames and medallion chairs.

We really liked the engravings featuring parrots. This theme went perfectly with the birdsong we could hear rising from the garden beneath our windows.

We had chosen a room with a view of the Teide. We could admire it from the armchairs of our wide bacon, and even from our bed! In terms of facilities, we had a kettle and two bottles of water.

The breakfast
Breakfast gave us a good start to our day of exploration. It’s a buffet breakfast. We appreciated the variety of local products on offer, such as fresh island fruit and Canarian specialties.

There were also homemade products such as ready-made meals, cakes and omelettes prepared to order.

The choice of products on offer was excellent, whether sweet (viennoiseries, yoghurts, cut fruit, cakes and cereals) or savoury (charcuterie, crudités, salmon and cheeses).

Breakfast can be taken in the dining room or on the terrace, where the armchairs are particularly comfortable. They allowed us to enjoy our meal lulled by the morning song of the birds.
Equipment and common areas
The hotel has 4 swimming pools, including 2 heated outdoor pools, 1 outdoor children’s pool (also heated) and 1 indoor pool.

We were able to take advantage of the fitness room. It was equipped with Salter brand appliances. There are also yoga and pilates classes.

The hotel also boasts a spa, with a beautiful wood-panelled area and a dedicated pool. We took a walk through the garden and found tennis courts and a 5000m2 practice golf course. Inside the hotel, we spotted a beautiful pool table.

The restoration
The hotel has several restaurants:
- Restaurant La Parrilla, where you can discover Spanish cuisine,
- The Thé Oriental Restaurant, which, as its name suggests, serves Asian cuisine,
- The more international Restaurant Il Pappagallo offers a selection of Mediterranean-influenced dishes.
- Last but not least, the Palmera Real Restaurant, a snack bar by the main pool, for a quick meal or simply a refreshing drink.
- There’s also the Bar Hall inside the hotel. It’s open until 1am.
