Located at the foot of the Maspalomas Lighthouse and the beach of the same name, the Hotel Faro offers breathtaking views of this iconic landmark and the entire bay. Our elegantly designed room exuded luxury with its soft lighting and wood finishes. The private balcony, with its unobstructed view, was a real favorite.
In terms of amenities, the hotel features a fitness center, two swimming pools, and several restaurants, including the Blue Marlin, which offers panoramic views. The hotel is located right next to the lively Meloneras waterfront, which is well worth a visit: there’s a lagoon and even some archaeological ruins to explore as you stroll along. A guaranteed stay that’s both elegant and sunny!

2. Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort (Meloneras)
Why stay there?
Located just a few hundred meters from Meloneras Beach, this hotel won us over with its wide range of amenities. With its six swimming pools, restaurants serving cuisine from around the world, and casino, it’s hard to get bored. Spa enthusiasts won’t be disappointed: the resort features a 3,500-square-meter wellness center, complete with a water circuit, salt bath caves, and even a cave-style pool.
Our room lived up to our expectations, with modern, understated, and chic decor. Some even have a private terrace that opens directly onto a pool. You’re sure to find the plan that’s right for you!

OUR ADVICE FOR RENTING A CAR IN Gran Canaria

- If you’re planning to explore the mountains, don ‘t take the smallest cars. A more powerful engine will be more comfortable.
- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.
3. Marina Suites Hotel (Puerto Rico)
Why stay there?
Located near the marina, the Marina Suites Hotel is a modern aparthotel that offers stunning ocean views. Our spacious suite, decorated in a nautical theme, featured a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for those who prefer to cook for themselves. From our large terrace, we were able to enjoy a magnificent sunset.
But our absolute favorite feature is still the infinity pool, with a view of the boats coming in and out of the marina. A soothing show that you never get tired of watching.

Nestled in the heart of the dunes and overlooking the ocean, the Riu Palace Maspalomas Hotel is a true haven of luxury reserved for adults—and it completely charmed us. Are you looking for lively evenings, relaxation at the spa, or sports? This establishment has something for everyone. The decidedly elegant decor and furnishings add to the charm of the property, as do the sunny terrace, the lovely garden, and the two spacious swimming pools lined with palm trees—perfect for recharging.
When it comes to dining, the hotel’s three themed restaurants offer a varied breakfast menu and dishes featuring local flavors. Here, you’ll be pampered from start to finish!

Why stay there?
Also in Playa del Inglés, the Corallium Dunamar Hotel is another option to consider. Our bright and spacious room exuded a sense of serenity, with an unexpected touch of comfort: armchairs equipped with footrests. From the 4th floor, our balcony offered a breathtaking view of the garden and the sea, with a table and two armchairs—perfect for enjoying moments of relaxation.
But what really sets this hotel apart is its location: right across from the beach, with no buildings to block the view. In fact, it’s one of the few hotels in the resort to offer direct, level access to Playa del Inglés. Another major draw: its three swimming pools, which promise sunny, refreshing days in a pleasant setting.

Looking for a waterfront holiday at any time of year? Stroll along the warm sand, enjoy the sound of the waves while lounging in the heated swimming pool, enjoy the luxury and sensuality all around you? Well, that dream atmosphere can become reality! Our trip to the adults-only Hotel Cristina By Tigotan Las Palmas was a memorable one. Las Canteras beach is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Our room overlooked the sandy expanse and blue horizon of the Atlantic Ocean. A postcard-perfect setting!

Why stay there?
If you want a convenient apartment right next to the beach, it’s hard to beat the location, as you just have to cross the road!
The apartments have beach and sea views and large balconies.
We also really liked the boho decor with its different textures.
