Also on the seafront, this recently renovated 4-star boutique hotel seduced us with its vintage Mediterranean decor. With 167 rooms, 4 restaurants and a wellness area, the H10 Big Sur’s cosy, relaxed atmosphere is perfect for adults in search of tranquility.

Right in the heart of Los Cristianos, just 100 meters from the beach, the location of this other 4-star hotel is ideal. We loved its historic elegance adapted to modern comfort. Its rooftop pool offers panoramic views of the port. It makes this hotel a perfect choice for enjoying the city and your vacation to the full.

Why stay at Los Cristianos?
The seaside resort of Los Cristianos is located in the south of Tenerife, between the Montaña de Chayofita and Montaña de Guaza nature parks. It’s a prime destination for waterside vacations. We enjoyed the calm waters of its golden sandy beaches, perfect for swimming and water sports. The balance between liveliness and authenticity, while remaining on a human scale, is notable.

The long seafront promenade(paseo maritimo) is lined with restaurants and boutiques. We also enjoyed the lively port. It is the starting point for cetacean-watching excursions. Los Cristianos is one of the most popular places to stay in Tenerife!

Staying downtown

In Los Cristianos, the bustle of the town center is an extension of that of the beach and its water sports activities. Above the Playa de Los Cristianos, we enjoyed wandering the pedestrian streets in search of the city’s best restaurants. Our best addresses article will be available soon. Walking back to the hotel, without touching the car, brings a certain serenity, especially in high season.

Staying on the seafront

The Los Cristianos waterfront is the ideal place to take full advantage of the ocean views. We really enjoyed the morning walks along the seafront, which is still quiet at this time of day. Several prestigious establishments offer direct access to Los Tarajales beach.

- The port of Los Cristianos is the starting point for whale-watching excursions and other nautical activities. If you want to take advantage of these activities, it’s best to stay in nearby accommodation.
- If you prefer walking, the area is also ideal for hiking the Chayofita and Guaza mountains.

Overlooking the Los Cristianos seafront promenade, Hotel Spring Arona Gran captivates with its upscale atmosphere and breathtaking bay views. We loved the plant decoration of the gigantic common areas. It gives them a jungle feel.
The hotel has 391 rooms with a warm, uncluttered style. The culinary experience is varied, with two restaurants including a buffet, and three bars including a piano bar with live concerts. How about sipping a cocktail and watching the sunset from the terrace bar? And for the more sporty, there’s a large gym overlooking the ocean.

Another adults-only establishment above Playa de Los Tarajales is the Boutique Hotel H10 Big Sur. We liked the sober, elegant decor in neutral tones, with a few touches of blue to create a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel’s 3 restaurants offer a wide range of gastronomic delights.
Breakfasts are varied and include vegetarian and gluten-free options. Like us, you can enjoy evenings on the rooftop with its panoramic views. For wellness enthusiasts, there’s the Despacio Beauty Center spa, with sauna, steam room, hairdressing salon and treatments.

Its location is ideal for hiking enthusiasts, with the mountains starting right behind the establishment.
The apartments have all modern comforts, and their decoration contrasts with the more traditional communal areas. Just 1km from the beach, the hotel is an excellent compromise between tranquility and proximity to activities. How about a session in the fitness room before taking advantage of the two outdoor pools?

We liked its slightly old-fashioned but charming decor, with fully-equipped apartments. Some have a private terrace or patio where you can enjoy the moment in complete privacy.
The complex offers family-friendly services, including a swimming pool for the little ones. Accessibility is also excellent, with ramps and elevators to facilitate movement in all areas.

Why stay there?
Located at the foot of Montaña de Guaza, Hotel Hollywood Mirage pays tribute to cinema Made in Hollywood. The apartments echo the names of actors and actresses from thegolden age of American cinema, such as Marilyn Monroe. We loved its Hispanic architecture.
Inside, the decor is more modern, all white walls and light wood. The equipment is modern. For the full experience, the Spa by Hollywood and El Bistro restaurant are a must. Not to mention the spectacular views over Los Cristianos Bay and the island of La Gomera.
