Is Playa de la Pinta in Costa Adeje worth it?
Yes, it’s a small town beach that’s well worth a visit. In fact, it features in our article on the most beautiful beaches in Costa Adeje. The area is supervised, and children will love the inflatable structure floating in the water. You’ll also enjoy the lively atmosphere of the seaside resort.

Type of beach
Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is a mixture of fine blonde and black sand.
Swimming conditions and supervision
Swimming conditions are very good. The descent into the water is gentle and gradual. The bathing area is clearly demarcated between the 2 dikes. The beach is also supervised.
Installations
We didn’t notice any beachside toilets, but there are plenty of shops close by if you need them. We also noted the presence of showers on the sand. Sun loungers and parasols are available for hire.

Access by car and parking
To get to Playa de la Pinta, you’ll have to head into Costa Adeje town center. During busy periods, you’re sure to encounter traffic jams, especially on Avenida de Colón. If you prefer to avoid potential traffic jams, choose a parking lot outside the city center. Alternatively, we recommend parking in the Puerto Colón Port parking lot next to the beach.

- If you’re planning to explore the mountains, don ‘t take the smallest cars. A more powerful engine will be more comfortable.
- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.
Access from the parking lot
From the Puerto Colón Port parking lot, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach. You’ll pass by the Puerto Colón Nautical Club on the way.
Public transport access
The 2 bus stops closest to the beach are a 10-minute walk away. The first is on the level of the Hotel Laguna Park and the second a few meters from the San Eugenio shopping center. Find out more about the local bus network here.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
Reduced mobility access
Unfortunately, there are no facilities for disabled access.
With children
This beach is ideal for families, as it is well-monitored and well-equipped. Entry into the water is gradual, so that younger children can learn to swim at their own pace. We also spotted an inflatable structure that is sure to please children in search of entertainment. There’s even a mini-golf course right on the beach. Alternatively, take your little ones on a dolphin and whale-watching cruise from the port – see prices, photos and availability.
Naturism
It is not possible to practice naturism on this beach.
Eating out
The beach is right in the heart of the city center, with a number of good culinary addresses in the vicinity. We particularly recommend Restaurant Almar Tenerife, less than 8 minutes’ walk from the beach. We were seduced by its exquisite seafood cuisine and exceptional setting!
