Renowned for its beaches and scenery, Meloneras offers a wide choice of 5-star hotels. This Maspalomas seaside resort overlooks 2 beaches, Playa de Meloneras and Playa de Maspalomas, as well as a lagoon, the magnificent Dunes of Maspalomas. We loved staying here and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the promenade. Sea views, spas, superb pools and exceptional services are all on the agenda!

1. Hotel Faro, a Lopesan Collection – Adults Only
Why stay there
Hotel Faro is at the foot of the Maspalomas Lighthouse. Like us, you’ll appreciate the spectacular view of the monument and the bay. Our elegantly designed room had all the hallmarks of a prestigious hotel. We appreciated the subdued lighting and wood panelling. The balcony and its panorama were also a real plus.
The establishment is also known for its panoramic restaurant, the Blue Marlin. The lively Meloneras waterfront adjoins the hotel. Take the time to stroll around and discover the surprises it holds, a lagoon and even archaeological ruins. A prestigious and sunny holiday!

We found the hotel’s location ideal. It’s a 5-minute walk from Playa de Maspalomas, an immense beach ideal for strolling, swimming and lounging. One of its pools is at the foot of the lighthouse. The panorama is superb! For an additional fee, you can also enjoy the resort’s second pool, located on the roof terrace. Both pools are open all year round and heated.

OUR ADVICE FOR RENTING A CAR IN Gran Canaria
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.
- If you’re planning to explore the mountains, don ‘t take the smallest cars. A more powerful engine will be more comfortable.
- But don’t take too big a car either, as some roads are narrow.
- There’s a lot of demand and it’s an island, so book early.
2. Hotel Unique Club Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort
Why stay there
The hotel impressed us with its services! We were able to admire its pools, dine in one of its world-famous restaurants or take a tour of its casino, the Gran Casino Costa Meloneras. Spa enthusiasts will also be delighted. The facility boasts a superb 3500m2 wellness center featuring an aquatic circuit, salt bath grottoes and a troglodyte pool. Our room also lived up to expectations, with its modern, sober and chic decor. Others even have their own private terrace overlooking a swimming pool. Families will also be delighted with the children’s mini-club.

The hotel has 6 heated swimming pools, open all year round. They are surrounded by greenery. We particularly enjoyed the large infinity pool. Located between Playa de Meloneras and Playa de Maspalomas, the hotel is also within walking distance of the beaches.

3. Lopesan Baobab Resort Hotel
Why stay there
Lopesan Baobab Resort offers a variety of rooms, from suites to family rooms. There are several pools to enjoy, including infinity and children’s pools. The decor of the establishment caught our eye. The materials, shapes and colors are reminiscent of Africa. Take advantage of one of the hotel’s restaurants, Akara, which serves African cuisine. You can also enjoy local dishes at Restaurant Pili Pili, or cocktails at the poolside bars. We were also won over by the number of activities on offer. Water sports, tennis, aerobics, children’s entertainment, DJ set and evening entertainment are all on the program. The ideal hotel for fun and relaxation in luxurious surroundings!

The hotel has 9 heated swimming pools, including 2 for children, which are open all year round. We also appreciated the proximity of the beaches of Playa de Meloneras and Playa de Maspalomas, only a 10-minute walk away.

Why stay there
Ideally located in our opinion, the hotel has all the hallmarks of a luxury resort. Just a few minutes from the beaches, it’s also close to the pretty Meloneras waterfront. We liked its architecture, inspired by traditional Spanish buildings. The hotel has 6 swimming pools, 5 restaurants and 6 bars. Here, you can savour world cuisine, drink cocktails with your feet in the water and relax in the pool of your choice! You can also enjoy the extensive thalassotherapy center with saunas, Turkish baths, a flotation pool and various wellness treatments. Entertainment is not to be outdone. The hotel also offers sports activities, daytime and evening entertainment, and a family-friendly mini-club for children.

Why stay there
We recommend the Seaside Palm Beach Hotel! This modern establishment offers a prestigious setting for couples and families. We liked the retro, designer decor. You’ll also appreciate the view of the Maspalomas Dunes, the ocean or the swimming pools. To relax or work out, you can also take part in free activities such as yoga, tennis and aquagym. And why not try the hotel spa? The ideal place to relax and enjoy a seaside vacation.

Why stay there
The H10 Playa Meloneras Palace is an elegant hotel. We were impressed by the breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. The decor of the establishment also stands out. It is inspired by the work of Antoni Gaudí, the famous Spanish architect whom we adore and who left his wild mark on Barcelona. The main hall impressed us with its bold shapes! The hotel boasts several pools for relaxing in idyllic surroundings. The hotel’s restaurants are equally friendly, with local dishes and international specialties on the menu. The wellness center, with spa treatments and fitness facilities, completes the picture. The hotel is finally kid-friendly. A playground, babysitting and entertainment will please the little ones. A place that combines comfort, art and relaxation for the whole family!
