In our opinion, this hotel is well worth a visit. This is one of our favourites for a top-of-the-range stay in Santa Cruz de Tenerife! Its rooftop with panoramic pool, central location and elegant ambience make it one ofthe city’s finest addresses. The hotel is an excellent base for exploring the historic center of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, while offering a refined setting in which to relax after a day of exploring.
Decoration and atmosphere
Housed in a historic building, the hotel preserves the character of the site with a contemporary, refined interior design. The common areas feature golden accents, elaborate lighting fixtures, plants and abstract sculptures to create a warm atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home!
The comfortable, elegant furnishings create a cosy atmosphere, ideal for relaxing after a day’s sightseeing in Santa Cruz. This aesthetic can be found in every space, contributing to the feeling of refinement we felt as we crossed the threshold of the hotel.
DISCOVER Santa Cruz de Tenerife
The room
Our room appealed to us, even if its dimensions were rather modest. The decor, sober and elegant in beige and brown tones, created a soothing atmosphere that invited relaxation. We particularly liked the wooden furniture and the long, floor-length curtains, which added a warm touch. The space, though compact, was cleverly optimized: a practical dressing area, a coffee corner and a small table for seating made the room both functional and pleasant.

The bathroom
The bathroom in our room is in keeping with the hotel’s elegant design. Functional and modern, it reflects the establishment’s design codes. It had a large glass-enclosed shower and hygiene products were provided.
The breakfast
Breakfast at the Marriott Hotel is served in the AC Lounge, located on the first floor near reception. We appreciated the bright, modern setting to get the day off to a good start. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the buffet breakfast. There’s a wide choice of sweet and savoury options, enough to satisfy every craving from the moment you wake up in the morning. It is also possible to order eggs prepared on the fly (omelette, poached or scrambled eggs).
A few local and homemade products enhance the experience, such as a tasty chocolate cake, a Spanish tortilla or homemade cakes. An assortment of hot and cold beverages completes the offer, ensuring a good start to the day in a convivial atmosphere.

The panoramic pool
Located on the roof of the hotel, the outdoor swimming pool is undoubtedly one of the major assets of the AC Hotel by Marriott Tenerife. From the deckchairs or while swimming, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Santa Cruz: the famous Plaza de España, the Atlantic Ocean, theChurch of Our Lady of Conception and even the iconic curves of the Tenerife Auditorium can be seen on the horizon. The area is perfectly equipped with parasols and deckchairs, inviting you to relax in a privileged setting. Right next door, a rooftop bar lets you enjoy a drink while admiring the sunset over the city.
Equipment and common areas
The establishment offers a range of facilities designed to ensure guest comfort. A 24-hour gym means you can maintain your workout routine even when traveling, even if it’s designed to accommodate a maximum of 3 people at a time. The hotel also boasts modern meeting rooms, ideal for business travelers. Finally, the communal areas, comfortably furnished with elegant and convivial seating, offer pleasant spots to sit back, work or simply enjoy a moment of relaxation.
The restoration
The hotel is home to Bar Azotea del 31, a rooftop bar/lounge open for lunch and dinner. In our opinion, this rooftop is one of the highlights of the establishment, combining gastronomy with an urban panorama. We highly recommend taking advantage of this terrace to enjoy a signature cocktail while admiring the rooftops of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The AC Hotel by Marriott Tenerife occupies a building with a history: theEdificio Maya, which was the first shopping center in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. We find this conversion interesting, preserving the architectural heritage of the 1980s while adapting it to contemporary hotel standards.

How to get there?
From Tenerife North Airport, the hotel is easily accessible in less than 15 minutes by car via the TF-5 road. If you’re arriving from Tenerife Sud airport, allow around 40 minutes for the journey along the TF-1, the main road that crosses the island. We strongly recommend that you travel by car: it will give you greater freedom to reach your hotel, but also (and above all) to explore Tenerife at your own pace, and believe us, it’s well worth it!

Parking
The AC Hotel by Marriott Tenerife has a small private parking lot for guests. Please note that access is very narrow and requires a small vehicle. We recommend checking the dimensions of your car before you arrive to avoid any inconvenience.
