Canaria (for a short stay), you can use your country&#8217;s driving license if:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>it has a license number,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>he has a photograph,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>it has a validity date,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>it is written in Latin letters,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">European, American, Canadian, Australian countries&#8230; all work.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do I need a credit card?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer may be.<br\/>When you rent a car without taking the 0 deductible from the rental company, they systematically take a deposit with your credit card (a sum is blocked on your account to be debited in the event of an accident). It is automatically included in the price of all car rentals.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supplements<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As these are a lot of winding mountain roads, and even if we didn&#8217;t find the driving very difficult, we&#8217;d advise you to take out additional protection that reduces the amount you have to pay in the event of an accident.<br\/>3 main options:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Option 1<\/strong><br\/>Your personal car or home insurance covers car rentals (but read the fine print, it&#8217;s rare).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Option 2<\/strong><br\/>Take out insurance on the rental platform.<br\/>Advantage: best price<br\/>Disadvantage: you&#8217;ll have to leave the security deposit (sum blocked on account) when you pick up the car, and you&#8217;ll have to advance the sum and send in the paperwork to be reimbursed. We&#8217;ve already used DiscoverCars insurance twice with no worries. Refunds were very quick.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Option 3<\/strong><br\/>Take the complementary car rental.
