Roques de Garcia &#8211; Tenerife&#8217;s magnificent landscape<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Best-of\/i-pvFVTGs\/0\/KKDmsjHdDTQkfgZWxWqQ2phTkKtkWmQTZw8XtMgZb\/L\/parc-national-teide-tenerife-L.jpg\" alt=\"Roques de Garcia\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a must-see destination, located in the heart of <a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/national-park-teide-tenerife-attractions-tips\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"5913\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Teide National Park<\/a>. The Roques de Garcia are spectacular rock formations, the most famous of which, the Roque Cinchado, defies the laws of balance. We loved the shades of ochre and red, with Mount Teide in the background. But visit early so you can park and take your photos easily. This is one of <a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/best-things-to-do-tenerife-attractions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tenerife&#8217;s must-see sites<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. We return to Teide National Park, but on the other side of the volcano, to explore this surprising and colorful area.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Playa de Las Teresitas<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Santa-Cruz-de-Tenerife\/Beaches\/Playa-de-las-Teresitas\/i-m95dRjc\/0\/MDBGSVCK3rwQNnrjqQZd4K3vpwgcXMv2jdkbTjsZ2\/L\/viewpoint%20playa%20teresitas%20tenerife-L.jpg\" alt=\"Las Teresitas Beach\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las Teresitas is one of Tenerife&#8217;s most spectacular beaches, with golden sand imported from the Sahara. We particularly liked the view from the mirador, with its contrasting colors: golden sand, turquoise water and black mountains.<br\/>This is one of Tenerife&#8217;s most beautiful beaches (list to come).<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Old town of Puerto de la Cruz<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Puerto-de-la-Cruz\/Ville\/i-rSCRV2F\/0\/NGXr2zjvZ5rNfwwVXJGkNK7BtPnk73SSZvZFMfrjf\/L\/puerto-de-la-cruz-L.jpg\" alt=\"Old town of Puerto de la Cruz\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/best-things-to-do-puerto-de-la-cruz-tenerife-visit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Puerto de la Cruz<\/a> is one of the island&#8217;s most charming towns. It was one of the Canary Islands&#8217; first tourist centers. The road is winding and isolated, but you&#8217;ll discover traditional houses and fascinating rock formations. This is no mere pleasure garden. It was created in the 18th century as an acclimatization garden.<br\/>Around the main walkways, you&#8217;ll discover century-old trees, exotic plants and magnificent collections of palm trees.<br\/>As tree lovers, we were not disappointed!<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12. It&#8217;s not overrun with tourists, but it&#8217;s well worth a visit, with its typical wooden balconies, gardens and sea views. We particularly enjoyed strolling through the Victoria Gardens.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">15. Anaga Forest<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Best\/Hikes-nature\/i-QSSD4vm\/0\/KZ45rtKsTVmT6wWBqWXxCTHrGBQHDKz62Bp7RxTxr\/L\/anaga_forest-L.jpg\" alt=\"Anaga Forest\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/park-rural-anaga-tenerife-guide-attractions\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"8394\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Anaga Mountains<\/a> at the beginning of this article. In addition to its spectacular views, it is covered by a primeval laurel forest.<br\/>It is often shrouded in mist, offering a mysterious atmosphere unique to the Canaries.<br\/>And, even if the weather isn&#8217;t clear, the experience of walking through the heart of this forest is well worth the effort.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">19. Playa Roques de la Bodegua<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Anaga\/Playa-de-Roques-de-las-Bodegas\/i-Fmdstrg\/0\/K97R6xz69ddd32s466HtR6DQLvDpRjv3gT5vx2Nkh\/L\/Playa-Roques-Bodegas-L.jpg\" alt=\"Playa Roques de la Bodegua\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a different kind of scenery, we recommend a visit to this wild beach. The volcanic rocks create strange formations and the black sand contrasts beautifully with the foam of the waves.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">20. These stone structures of mysterious origin are surrounded by an ethnobotanical garden. An excellent surprise for history and botany lovers.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">22. Garachico and its natural pools<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Garachico\/Piscinas\/i-VvWkKn8\/0\/LQDR3sBthQHh9sk7JcG8vxvsntTRPxnWQXgvwRgdW\/L\/garachico-piscinas-2-L.jpg\" alt=\"Garachico natural pools\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/best-things-to-do-garachico-tenerife-visit\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"4663\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Garachico<\/a>, the former capital of Tenerife, is a town that captivated us with its historic charm and natural surroundings. It was rebuilt after a volcanic eruption in the 18th century.<br\/>We loved the combination of the few historic buildings with the view of the cliffs and lava formations. By the sea, this creates <a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/piscines-naturelles-el-caleton-garachico-2\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"7905\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">natural pools<\/a>. You can swim here at low tide, but we recommend the show at high tide when the waves create splashes and whirlpools.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">23. Palmetum de Santa Cruz<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Santa-Cruz-de-Tenerife\/Palmetum\/i-4XL4Wrk\/0\/LqMTMGgr3nPd2QHJ9gd7t72k9BdXJcLzFb9sGj3zd\/L\/tropical%20plants%20palmetum%20santa%20cruz%20tenerife-L.jpg\" alt=\"Palmetum de Santa Cruz\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/visiter-palmetum-santa-cruz-tenerife-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Palmetum<\/a> is an urban oasis and an ecological success story.<br\/>This botanical garden specializing in palm trees was created on a former landfill site. Today, it&#8217;s a peaceful place with breathtaking views over the city and the ocean.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">24. Playa del Duque<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/Costa-Adeje\/Playa-del-Duque\/i-QBTPSTt\/0\/CHchVG2j23M4Dfmjtbwkb3sCkmTMLvpKh22jz2cxQ\/L\/playa%20duque%20costa%20adeje%20tenerife-L.jpg\" alt=\"Playa del Duque\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/playa-duque-plage-costa-adeje-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Playa del Duque<\/a> beach is less wild than the others mentioned in this article, but its elegant setting with blue umbrellas and golden sand makes it one of the most beautiful beaches on the south coast.
