The high season is between June and September, the vacation season in Europe. And the main roads are always crowded.<br\/>But as soon as you get away from the tourist spots, it&#8217;s much quieter.<br\/>The island also gets quite a few tourists in winter, as people seek out the sun!<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weather<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Temperatures become very high in summer, are very pleasant in the intervening months and are always pleasant in winter. Visa and identity papers for Tenerife<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tenerife is part of Spain, and therefore within the Schengen area.<br\/>If you are one of them, you don&#8217;t need a visa. Here you&#8217;ll find beautiful beaches, a pleasant seafront promenade and numerous restaurants. Single or multiple units?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a 1-hour drive from the north to the south of the island.<br\/>So you can explore the whole island from a single hotel.<br\/>But if you&#8217;re staying for more than a week, we think it&#8217;s worth staying half in the north and half in the south, so you can experience the parties and restaurants in two different cities.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Always check parking conditions<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parking can be a problem in many cities and in some tourist areas.<br\/>If you&#8217;re renting a car, check your hotel&#8217;s parking conditions.<br\/>And for the most touristy places, plan to visit them early to make things easier (for example, Teide or Masca).<\/p>\n\n<div Public transport<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find buses that connect all Gran Canaria&#8217;s major towns with regular services. Is tap water safe to drink in Tenerife?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, you can drink tap water. There&#8217;s no danger.<br\/>Just be aware that Tenerife receives little rain. So tap water comes from desalinated seawater. So it doesn&#8217;t taste the best, or the taste we&#8217;re used to. Most people drink bottled mineral water.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">16. Type of food<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tenerife is a tourist island, so you&#8217;ll find everything:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Traditional Canarian cuisine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mediterranean cuisine, tapas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Italian restaurants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indian restaurants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chinese restaurants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seafood and fresh fish<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gran Canaria has an interesting range of gourmet restaurants. Sun protection<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beware, the sun can be brutal.<br\/>Don&#8217;t take any risks, protect yourself with sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And wear even more protective gear when climbing to higher altitudes in Teide National Park.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">20. Language<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tenerife is in Spain. The language is Spanish. But as it&#8217;s a very touristy island, almost everyone speaks English. We also met a lot of teams who also spoke German and French.<br\/>In Tenerife you&#8217;ll also often find teams who speak Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian. And some restaurants even have adapted menus, but not all (fewer than in Gran Canaria).<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">21.
