While we particularly enjoyed the <strong>Dim Sum<\/strong> and <strong>scallops<\/strong>, we were intrigued by the <strong>Pani-Puri<\/strong> (India), hollow rolls like eggshells, set on a bed of chickpeas. A few tables are set up in front of the door, under pale parasols. Inside, we liked the long, vegetable-laden <strong>wooden counter<\/strong> that greets visitors. Restaurant La Hormiga<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Less than 5 minutes&#8217; walk north of the Cathedral of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de Los Remedios, <strong>Restaurant La Hormiga<\/strong> is a traditional restaurant with a<strong>simple, well-cared-for atmosphere<\/strong>. We found the elements that characterize most restaurants in the Canaries: a woodsy ambience, warm-colored ceramic floors, white walls with a few splashes of color.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Canarias-Lovers\/Tenerife\/San-Cristobal-de-La-Laguna\/Restaurants-fa&#xE7;ades\/i-bhkp25L\/0\/MFxkXZ5c5BDvJg94BXjQxkwZmqh4FPR2KNdDL9Cp2\/L\/restaurant-hormiga-la-laguna-tenerife-L.jpg\" alt=\"Restaurant La Hormiga in San Crist&#xF3;bal de La Laguna, Tenerife\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the plate, the cuisine is also traditional and particularly <strong>authentic<\/strong>, but with a <strong>creative touch<\/strong> that&#8217;s well worth the detour. The dishes are tasty and carefully prepared, and the service impeccable. The menu isn&#8217;t very large: <strong>around 15 dishes<\/strong> and two desserts. Inside, the furnishings are modern, again with wood accents on an earth-toned ceramic floor. But it&#8217;s the ceiling that catches the eye.
