In our opinion, it&#8217;s one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/best-beaches-gran-canaria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most beautiful in Gran Canaria<\/a>! Divided into several sections, this long urban beach encompasses Playa Grande, <a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/playa-chica-plage-las-palmas-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Playa Chica<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/canarias-lovers.com\/en\/playa-pena-vieja-beach-las-palmas-gran-canaria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Playa Pe\u00f1a Vieja<\/a> and Playa la Cicer. Bordered by a beautiful promenade, it offers a wide range of facilities, bars and restaurants. If you have a car, we recommend that you park in town or on the nearby streets, and then walk to the beach by public transport or cab.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Numerous buses bring you close to the beach. Please note that parking is subject to a charge.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On the sand and in the water&#8230;practical advice<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best time to visit<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Playa de las Canteras is great to enjoy all year round! Temperatures remain mild in the Canaries in winter and there are a few less crowds. In summer, we recommend early mornings and weekdays to avoid the crowds. Protected by a coral reef (the Barra) that attenuates waves, the sea is generally calm. We found the water quality to be good.
